The 1937 PGA Championship was the 19th edition of the tournament and was held at Pittsburgh Field Club in Fox Chapel, Pennsylvania. The tournament was won by Denny Shute, who defeated Harold "Jug" McSpaden 3 and 2 in the final match.

Shute, who had won the tournament previously in 1936, became the first golfer to win the PGA Championship in back-to-back years since Walter Hagen accomplished the feat in 1924 and 1925. Shute went on to win a total of three PGA Championships in his career.

The purse for the tournament was $10,000, with Shute receiving $1,000 for his victory. The tournament featured many of the top golfers of the time, including Sam Snead, Byron Nelson, and Gene Sarazen, who had won the previous two editions of the tournament.

The Pittsburgh Field Club, which was founded in 1882 and has hosted other major golf tournaments such as the U.S. Women's Open and the Curtis Cup, was the first course west of the Allegheny Mountains to host the PGA Championship.
